Oblique Imaging Systems

OIS-XL

Ultra high resolution for mapping and oblique imaging

The OIS-XL is the best we actually can provide. Ultra high resolution for mapping and oblique imaging combines the best available Phase One sensor technology in one compact system. One shot results in 880 MPIX.

Still small dimensions, back light illuminated CMOS sensor and a fast capture rate make this setup a full metric instrument. The OIS-XL can be equipped with different lenses and image orientations for the oblique as well as a flexible range of mounting angles adding a high flexibility for your project.

For the oblique cameras the iXM-RS 150 Sensor (150 MPIX) with 110 mm lenses are used while for nadir the brand new combined iXM-RS 280 (280 MPIX) with two 90 mm lenses is placed in the center

Fastest high resolution sensor

Components

Using a Dual iX Controller, a capture rate of 2 fps is the fastest ultra high resolution system on the market. The iX Capture software on the Dual Controller enable full access to the image quality and camera control. Using the daisy chain technology, all 5 cameras are perfectly synchronized and the geotags are instantly transcribed to image data (exif log).

The cameras are mounted extremely closely to provide low vignetting by the camera hatch. All components are designed for high accuracy mapping. With a resolution up to 1.5 cm GSD. It is a fully metric system and the special care of the mounting guarantees a precise calibration of the bore side angles as well. The cameras’ tilt angles can be modified between 30 and 45 degrees. The complete system is delivered with a calibration certificate.

Image processing of the data

Smooth workflow

For image processing of the data of the IXM RS 280, the iX Capture software enables to create the finally stitched and distortion free big format images out of the single sensor heads. This software can be used to batch process the RAW formats to tiff or other formats as well. For more sophisticated image processing, Capture One software is part of the delivery bundle.

The AeroStab-XL gyro stabilized mount is able to host the OIS-XL. Our AeroTopoL FMS is perfectly designed for this camera setup and combined with our AeroDiDOS GNSS-INS to generate directly referenced data for a smooth workflow.

What you get

What you get is a highly accurate and sound mapping system for generating 3D city models with an outstanding precision and the best available resolution on the market!
