OTS

OTS is the combination of 5 Thermal cameras to capture 3D Thermal models of cities or infrastructure. Mounted in a cone, the camera lenses are centred and the field of view is free of vignetting. The 3D printed cone with carbon fibre inlays is extremely stabile. This enables a photogrammetric calibration of cameras and the entire setup.

5 Flir cameras, each with 640*512 pixels resolution, are GNSS synchronized and capture in nadir and 45-degree oblique views.

With thermal resolution of 0.05 degree C and a maximum framerate of 30 fps, this passive cooled bolometer sensor is ranging in the high-quality level of industrial products.

OTS enables monitoring of objects that emit thermal radiation. The airborne oblique thermography is useful for many applications such as:

• thermal insulation of objects and cities
• border and industrial plant security
• inspections of pipelines, high voltage power lines and isolators
• management of forest fires and hot spots
• change detection
• animal detection even below canopy
• humidity monitoring

OTS is not just a hardware. OTS comes with Software that captures out of the video stream the single images using Trigger and Event-Signal for precise positioning of the frames. Software to common balance the greyscale is part of the system that enables photogrammetric data processing without losing temperature information.

OTS can be fully integrated with AeroTopoL FMS and the AeroStab family. The camera is managed by the AeroTherm Control software. Real-time control of the actual data is supported. Other sensors can be used in combination with e.g. LiDAR or RGB imaging.

Preprocessing Grayscale values from temperatures, 3D city modelling using photogrammetric softwares can be done and presented in a innovative new way (see images OTS1-3)
